Westerfield ups the stakes with this one and really expands on the mystical world of the blue time and the beings who occupy it. Non ne avevo previsto nemmeno uno e mi hanno sorpreso tantissimo. To ask other readers questions about Touching Darknessplease sign up.
Let me also add that these are not the only mysteries that the kids are going to face! I mean, sure, she’s not the easiest person to get along with, she’s a little standoffish, and she can be snarky. Because she hears the thoughts of not just herself but everyone. Jessica is clearly outshadowed by wesherfeld amazing Melissa or Dess I like that Westerfield does not feel compelled to make all his characters chummy or likable. Touching Darkness tells duari more about the five midnighters from Bixby, Oklahoma – the only kids in the world who still continue to live and move during the secret hour, when the entire world around them freezes, and horrendous darklings come out to hunt.
Just think of the geographical and verbal mathematics that can save your life during the secret hour Jonathan will always be my baby, though. I guess it’s realistic that they’re diaei taking charge and forming into a super-cohesive Justice League, but sort of shilly-shallying about being teens. Overall though the book was good, a LOT better than the first one. Se i personaggi comunicassero, ci sarebbero decisamente meno problemi.
Westerfield brings the grey area in this second book in the Midnighters series. Perhaps that decision of his mezzanltte me put only three stars.
Armed with this knowledge and the knowledge that the darklings are terrified of Jessica, it almost seems like the Midnighters can get their blue time diaro for themselves.

Le premesse per un ultimo libro epico ci sono tutte e non vedo l’ora di iniziarlo e westerteld perdermici! I wonder why Diri always like Scotts 2nd book. I also enjoyed seeing the characters’ families in this part of the trilogy. But I’ve come this far The individual characters are recognizably different from each other. Jan 01, Jessica rated it liked it Shelves: Sep 11, Jody rated it really liked it Shelves: But it took me a bit to get back into the characters, especially because I didn’t remember them being this obnoxious.
Read an excerpt of this book! It comes out September 11, I would’ve stuck him in a box with millons of trantulas, payback buddy! Dess and all of her weapons. It’d be nice to see a different pov. It was amazing and there was a sella of action. This series continues to impress.

The novel I read for Unit Four was Midnighters: That is everyone except the Midnighters. It brought a whole new aspect into the Blue Time This series continues to impress. Weeks have passed since the culminating events of Book 1, and our heroes are divided and not getting along particularly well. Now that Jessica’s got everything figured out, the real action can begin! I think I read the first one in the trilogy, The Secret Hour, at some point last fall, without much enthusiasm.
As well as the little glimpses into their past
